Horton cum Studley Gardening Club

ImageAbout the Club

Horton cum Studley gardening club was founded in 1990 for people interested in gardens and gardening. The Club is affiliated to the Royal Horticultural Society.

We are a friendly group with a wide breadth of experience and interests that range from roses and snowdrops to vegetables and compost bins, but most importantly we all enjoy sharing our love of gardening, our successes and the challenges gardening poses.

We usually meet in the Millennium Village Hall, The Straight Mile, Horton cum Studley OX33 1BF at 8.00pm on the 3rd Tuesday of the month between January and May and, after a summer break, between September and November.

Visitors are most welcome at any of our meetings and are asked to pay £3.00 per meeting.

Outings to places of horticultural interest, often wonderful gardens, are organised in the spring and summer and in the summer we also hold a social evening for members. Click on "Programme" (see menu on right) for more information.

Open Gardens

Some members open their gardens for the NGS- see programme. These gardens are well worth visiting...and you may indulge in tea and cake.

Fund Raising

The Club usually raises funds by running a plant stall at the Otmoor Challenge Fete (the fete will not be going ahead in 2022). Donations of plants are always welcome.

Membership is open to anyone interested in gardening. The annual subscription is £10.00. New members are most welcome. Just come along to a meeting and join up!

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or would like to know more about our activities.
